A few days ago, as I put on my running shoes for the first time after my knee injury, I felt both excitement and hesitation. My mind was ready to move fast, but my body reminded me: “Not so quick Dilek.”
Skipping the warm-up and going straight for the sprint only increases the risk of harm. The same is true for our work lives. After summer, we jump into the fast lane quickly; deadlines, goals, but without a “warm-up,” the pace, can turn into a setback rather than progress.

Problem: Stuck Energy in the Fast Lane
When we don’t convert our energy, it gets stuck. And stuck energy is non-usable, dangerous, it builds pressure, frustration, or fatigue before we even hit our real momentum.
Solution: Control Your Energy, Control Your Acceleration
Sustainable acceleration comes from managing energy, not just time.
An Insight From Sports
The American College of Sports Medicine recommends at least 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week, moderate intensity aerobic physical activity for both body and mind.
Consistency in physical activity gives your circulation a lift, calms your stress response, and refreshes your mind.

I am physically very active and the energy I release doesn’t just fuel me; it impacts how I show up for my clients, my family, and myself!
Alongside movement, bringing back balanced nutrition and a healthy sleep routine, which often get disrupted during summer holidays, creates the stable foundation we need to accelerate with balance.
3 Practical Tips to Re-enter the Fast Lane with Balance
🔹 #1 - Physical: Protect Your Core Habits
Bring in consistent movement and release energy, have quality sleep, and balanced nutrition. It tells your body: “We’re entering the race, but safely.”
🔹 #2 - Schedule Micro-Declutters
Your brain, like a muscle, performs best in intervals. Set aside short, focused work sprints (25–45 minutes) followed by a reset. This prevents mental fatigue and helps you accelerate with clarity rather than overwhelm.
🔹 #3 - Identify One Energy Booster
Energy is also emotional. Step outside for fresh air, journal a few lines, or call a friend who lifts you up. Releasing stuck feelings clears the way for balance and the positive energy you radiate impacts everyone around you!

Not converted energy is stuck energy. Control your energy, and you control your acceleration, your balance, and the impact you spread around you.
